Refund policy
Last updated: 6 November 2026
Claimy helps you discover nearby offers, keep them in your in-app wallet, and redeem discounts at participating businesses by showing a QR code. This policy explains when we can help with refunds or charge disputes related to payments made through Claimy or its payment partners. It does not replace the terms shown in the app at checkout or on the offer details screen when those terms are stricter or more specific.
What this covers
This policy applies to amounts you were charged in connection with Claimy (for example: unlocking or purchasing access to an offer, a service fee, or another in-app payment) when the payment was processed by Claimy or a payment partner integrated with the app.
The discount itself is provided by the participating business under its offer rules. If the wording on the offer, checkout, or merchant materials differs from this page, the offer and checkout terms you confirmed in the app at the time of purchase prevail for that transaction.
Saving an offer in your wallet or reserving it for later does not by itself create a refund entitlement; eligibility depends on whether a payment occurred, its status, and whether you already redeemed the offer at the venue.
When a refund or adjustment may be available
We may approve a refund, reversal, or compensating adjustment where it is allowed by the payment method and our records show a clear error — for example: you were charged more than once for the same purchase, you were charged after you cancelled within any cancellation window stated in the app, a technical failure on our side prevented you from using what you paid for, or we confirm an unauthorized charge.
After you have successfully redeemed an offer at the venue (staff scanned your QR or the redemption completed in the app), we generally treat the discount as consumed. Refunds for dissatisfaction with the merchant, the quality of goods or services, or a change of mind after redemption are handled in line with that merchant’s published offer terms and applicable law; we will still try to help mediate through support when something went clearly wrong.
If you contact us late, abuse the process (for example fabricated claims), or your bank has already initiated a chargeback, we may be unable to process a parallel refund through Claimy and will rely on the payment provider’s dispute outcome.
Payment providers and card networks set their own rules; we cannot guarantee an outcome they do not permit.
Processing times
We aim to review complete requests within a few business days. Approval is not automatic; we may need information from you or from the payment partner.
After a refund is approved, it can take several additional business days to appear on your card or account statement. Weekends, public holidays, and your bank’s processing can add delay.
If nothing appears after a reasonable time, contact support with the same email as your Claimy account and any transaction reference we gave you.
How to request help
- Open the Claimy app and find the offer or transaction (for example in your wallet, offer history, or payment history, depending on what your app version shows).
- Use any in-app billing or help action offered for that purchase, if available.
- If there is no in-app path, email claimysupport@gmail.com from the address associated with your account. Include: approximate date and time of the charge, the offer name, the amount and currency, and screenshots of the app and bank statement if that helps. Do not send full card numbers — only the last four digits if needed.
- We may ask follow-up questions to verify legitimate use and prevent fraud.
